It started snowing early this morning and has snowed all day. We have around 3 to 4 inches on the ground. It did get above freezing for a time today but just barely. I shoveled the drive and walks twice so that was my exercise for the day. We got online and made some camping reservations at our favorite Colorado State Park,
Mueller, for 3 days in July. You have to reserve a long time in advance to get into this popular park behind Pikes Peak.

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday. The game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots was a little slow until the 4th quarter. Lots of good defense with neither team able to score more than once. Then it got exciting towards the end with the Giants winning in the last minute 17 to 14. Some of the ads were creative as usual. You can see the ads on
myspace.com/superbowlads. I especially liked the FedEx carrier pigeon one.
Tomorrow is another "Super" event in politics. It is possible we will have a pretty good idea who the candidates for each party will be after tomorrow. If the polls are accurate McCain should be the Republican candidate. As of tonight it is too close to call on the Democratic side. In either case it will be interesting to see if our country
(supposedly founded on the premise that all are created equal) has really come far enough to elect a woman or African American as president! Unfortunately discrimination, intolerance and bigotry are alive and well in this 'land of the free'. On the other hand, I don't suppose, if McCain was to be elected president we could ever be sure it was the 'woman/African American' factor or other factors. At any rate it will be interesting to observe the next 9 months of politics in America.
I'm ready for winter to be over .... how about you?
